CAMERINO No. 45 Slipknot at Knotfest

The band from Des Moines, Iowa, were the undisputed rulers of the dressing rooms. Their security detail consisted of a small platoon of 220-pound men with long beards and booming voices who spoke only English. Forty minutes before their show, which was the festival's closing act, they blocked access between the dressing rooms and the stage to control the band's movement. They requested a hot shower, which they didn't use. Corey Taylor was very particular about one request: lemon-lime Gatorade. It's not available in Colombia. It was replaced with lemon-lime Electrolit. Each band member had their own van and security detail. The security check was beyond meticulous, especially considering their previous show in Mexico. In the end, amidst the tension and perfectionism, they delivered one of the best concerts of the year.
