Shakira returns to Chile and Colombia to fulfill her promise to fans in Medellín and Santiago

Colombian superstar Shakira announces her return to Medellín in April 2025 to fulfill the promise she made to her fans in the capital of Antioquia with two concerts and to return to the country as soon as possible after the postponement of her concert in February this year. For her, her fans are the most important thing and they deserve everything.

We confirm that the date of the concert postponed in February 2025 at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium will be held on Saturday, April 12, and, in addition, the artist will perform a new concert on Sunday, April 13, 2025. These two Shakira shows are possible thanks to the support of the Mayor's Office of Medellín and the various city authorities, whom we thank and recognize for their efforts. This gesture not only represents an unwavering commitment to her audience, but also poses a monumental logistical and financial challenge, as it involves moving Shakira's impressive tour production with a team of more than 150 people, responsible for making each performance possible.

This involves mobilizing a total of 249 tons of infrastructure and equipment to ensure that the entire production arrives at the venue. The screen has 6.6 million pixels and measures 49 meters wide and 9.6 meters high, with more than 93.5 tons of high-tech equipment, 400,000 watts of audio, 1,000 robotic spotlights, and 1,200 KW of power.

The show features 10 dancers. In each city, 100 fans enter the venue alongside Shakira in “Caminando con La Loba” and the show includes nine CGI interludes with a unique digital recreation of Shakira. This required five months of creative work with cutting-edge technology, involving more than 40 specialists in motion capture, animation cleanup, rigging, and 3D sculpture.

To achieve this, the artist will have to fly from Mexico to Colombia, crossing from one hemisphere to the other with all her infrastructure, and then continue her tour in the United States, where she will continue the North American leg of her world tour. Moving a production of this scale from Mexico to South America and then back to North America (requiring unprecedented complexity from a production standpoint) goes against all business logic, but Shakira was categorical in her decision, stating: "I am happy to announce that I will be singing for my fans in Santiago, Chile, on April 4, 5, and 7, and in Medellín on April 12 and 13. I have decided to extend my tour to return to Colombia and Chile as soon as possible and reconnect with each one of you, just as I promised.

For you, I will always make every effort necessary. My audience deserves the best because they are the best fans in the world, and the most important thing for me is to deliver. Because as the commandments say: a wolf never abandons her pack. I'm counting the days to see you and give you the best show of my life!" said the superstar, who has once again demonstrated her loyalty and absolute dedication to those who have accompanied her throughout her career.

With this decision, Shakira not only reaffirms her connection with her audience, but also writes a new chapter in her legacy, putting music and love for her fans above any obstacle.
